Situated on the slopes of Trappieskop mountain and overlooking Fish Hoek beach and the Silvermine Wetland Reserve, The Mountain House is uniquely designed to take in the most spectacular views. This ‘home from home’ offers the best of our rich diversity in fauna and flora while combining access to a wide range of social and extra mural pursuits at your doorstep.

Two to four people can be comfortably accommodated in this house. There is a bedroom with a queen size bed and cotton percale linen, ample cupboard space with dressing table, en-suite bathroom with large shower and double vanity.

Clerestory windows bring views of the mountain behind into the spacious light filled living area where two custom made daybeds work equally well as two single or as a double bed.

There is a well equipped kitchenette with fridge, microwave/convection oven, gas hob and state of the art appliances. Seamless flow from the living area onto a magnificent balau deck with 360 degree views.

The house also has the following features; a TV with DVD and optional 24hr ADSL connection, alarm system and small safe, braai facility in private landscaped indigenous garden, off-street parking, separate private entrance, underfloor heating, twice weekly servicing included, daily servicing can be arranged.

Built with sensitivity towards the environment, The Mountain House boasts a rainwater collection system as well as solar water heating.

The Mountain House in Clovelly Reviewed by Anonymous, South Africa on . Good The establishment is really contemporary and chic, but has a simple homely feel at the same time. We found the house very neat and tidy, equipped with all basic amenities. The house has panoramic windows which allows a lot of natural light to come into the place making it feel really spacious and one with the natural surroundings. We especially enjoyed the amazing views from the porch of the entire Fish Hoek Valley all the way from Fish Hoek beach down to long beach Noordhoek. The sunset was magical! I would certainly recommend the Mountain house to anyone wanting to break away to a fantastic gem of a place.
