Escape to the tranquillity of this sea-facing, luxury two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment situated on the tropical east coast of KwaZulu-Natal. Thirty minutes south of Durban is the quiet, unspoiled coastal village of Illovo Beach with blissfully balmy weather all year round and the warm tropical water of the Indian Ocean.

With breathtaking sea views the first-floor apartment is fully furnished with one double en-suite bedroom, one twin bedroom, and a spacious open-plan kitchen, dining and living area. The main bedroom and lounge have direct access to a wide terrace with 180-degree sea views, outdoor furniture and a gas barbeque.

Four kilometres of beautifully soft sandy beach washed by the warm Indian Ocean stretches either side of La Mer. The beach, accessed by a private gate, is a few minutes' walk from the apartment and offers excellent fishing off the beach, safe swimming in shark-net protected waters, blissful sunbathing and endless sandcastle building opportunities. The lagoon at the mouth of the Lovu River is a haven for bird-watching and canoeing.

La Mer is well maintained with lush gardens and a sparkling swimming pool and kiddie’s pool with barbeque facilities and a club house. The complex has 24-hour security, undercover parking for one vehicle, plus ample open parking for visitors. The main coastal highway is out of view and earshot, but is 10 minutes' drive away offering easy access to some of South Africa's top game parks, dive sites, nature reserves, golf courses and other coastal attractions.

La Mer 33 What an amazing apartment!!  We spend most of the time on the balcony when not on the beach. We felt like royalty to be able to stay in La Mer 33. A very clean and neat apartment. All the essentials and more was available.  We would highly recommend this unit.  Thank you Burger and Marna.

Simply a place where you can just sit back and forget the worlds problems. The ease of access to the secluded beach was a true blessing which my family and I thoroughly enjoyed.
